Why It Matters
Since its inception, the Running Bitcoin Challenge has raised over $400,000 USD for ALS research in honour of Hal Finney — early cypherpunk, bitcoin pioneer, and the recipient of the first ever bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto.
Because proof-of-work matters and, like Bitcoin, it will give you superpowers.
