I’m not a runner, but would like to give it a try. What do you suggest?
Fantastic! This challenge is for you. Doing a ‘couch to 5km’ course is one of the surest ways to pick up the running bug. It takes between 6-8 weeks to overcome the initial pain of running and to develop the habit. Start off with run/walks where you switch between running and walking. Going out for 10mins, then returning. Persevere until you can run/jog for 20mins without stopping. Run with a friend: It helps with breathing and time and distance travelled will fly-by.
Do I need to sign-up?
No. This challenge is for everyone. However the act of entering creates a commitment to yourself and it will help to keep you focused on your goal.
How much should I donate?
We suggest $5 equivalent in bitcoin, however it can be any amount. Your entry fee will be donated to the Human Rights Foundation Bitcoin Dev Fund.
Can I enter more than once?
Yes, naturally. Once you complete your main goal, it’s time to think about another one. “No human is limited” – Eliud Kipchoge.
What is the Human Rights Foundation Dev Fund?
The Human Rights Foundation is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organisation that promotes and protects our rights globally. Its mission is to unite the world to stand against tyranny. All processed from the Bull Run will be donated to HRF’s Bitcoin Development Fund to support open-source software developers who are making the Bitcoin network more private, decentralised, and resilient so that it can better serve as a financial tool for human rights activists, civil society organisations, and journalists around the world.
